Happy Easter and stuff.
ans-koster asked you:
I’m a sketch artist and doodler aswell, i am fairly good but i have to look at a real life picture or another’s work when i draw. i want to be able to just draw, like create a creature or thing and be able to doodle it in different positions or styles and such, like you do with say the owl griffin. i would love if you could help me, like tell me how to start or what to do. i would greatly appreciate it :3
I found that skeletal guidelines helped me a lot when I wanted to create different poses. As for the owl griffin, I still often use my cat, as well as big cat references when I draw him. Animal photo references are invaluable for learning range of motion, locomotion, etc, and I’ll probably never stop using them.
I don’t think the owl griffin really abides by the laws of physics, so I suppose ships don’t have to either.
It’s been a long time since I put pencil to paper, so here’s a quick sketch of Cassandra Pentaghast before I shut down. I’m coming back, I swear.
So someone gave me Dragon Age: Origins, and suddenly I found myself using it like digital crack and starting fan art in the process. I love this game so much.
Still in the process of adding more stuff to the store. I figured I’d bring this back to be part of it.
Apparently, Tumblr sends an email to tell you how old your blog is, and it’s been 3 years already. Time sure flies when you’re addicted to the internet. Thanks for sticking around guys. You’re the best.
I plan on it. I’m finishing up some other things as well, and he’s among them. I should have it by this weekend.
Yes’m. I’m still revising/creating some stuff so the format better suits some of the products, but I have a few things available, and I’ll be updating with some more stuff later this week. You can check it here.
I love messing about with spaceship designs sometimes. I ought to start trying ships that are actually feasible.
So it’s now possible for caffeine cats to actually hold your coffee for you, though I would prefer to play god and create magical cats that serve it as well. Maybe when technology and my bank account catch up.
